Order partially executed?
If your limit order is only partially executed, it means that there are not enough units of that security available on the exchange to execute at that price. As long as your order remains valid, the non-executed part will remain in the order book until further execution is possible.
If you change a partially executed order, you do not need to adjust the number. The order remembers what has already been executed. You can adjust the limit price or extend the validity date.
For orders executed partially – in some cases spread across several trading days – you will only have to pay the broker’s fee once for one and the same order. The partially purchased assets will become visible in the portfolio at the end of the trading day.
If you cancel a partially executed order, the assets already purchased will remain in the portfolio when you buy (as will the unsold assets when you sell).
